"As much as we want this to be about raising money, the real issue is bringing education and information." That statement resonated with us and is the crux of what we hope to accomplish and assist with in creating this beer. The beer IS our statement, and in creating it we are expressing ourselves in the best way we know how. We're not smart enough, educated enough, or foolish enough to think we'll get it all right, so we leaned on TWO things we do know for sure....we can make good beer, and we understand that education is the best real way forward. We ask for your patience, acceptance, engagement, and ruminative responses as we ALL find new ways to learn and grow together. The beer IS our statement.....Black Is Beautiful.

This is our version of the beer created for the Black Is Beautiful initiative. This 10.5% ABV Imperial Dark Ale was designed to showcase layered “shades of black” and features distinguishable chocolate, dark grain, and barrel-aged notes. It also features a noticeable alcohol presence and lighter than expected mouthfeel.
