Oh. My. God. Liquid candy with a ton of bourbon flavor. Tastes WAY boozier than its abv. Toffee and dried cherry and almond. Chocolate throughout. A little vanilla in the finish which is quickly overwhelmed by the bourbon vapors. Total banger!!

One of my favorite under-brewed styles. And it’s wonderful! Like a modestly hopped coffee with plenty of bitter cocoa. There’s a stone fruit note that makes it feel almost imperial stout-like if it wasn’t so light. Stellar work from Stoup.

I’m impressed with how soft and rounded this beer is. Just a touch of that resinous pine that used to be the staple of West Coast IPA. But I’ll take a touch over none at all. This is a lovely mix of old and new.
