This is our big bad Double IPA. The Stone has been brought back to life for the first time in cans and just in time for our 3rd Birthday and Indie Beer Day.

Named after the Philosophers Stone which was the Magnum Opus for the Alchemist’s of time gone past it is the best of the best we have to offer for Hop heads wanting a Dry Double IPA that is easy to drink during summer.

Using our knowledge from previous brews we have balanced this beer by relying on the Oats, Wheat and Yeast to make this beer a finely balanced beauty to behold. With a big Double Dry Hop of Cascade Citra and Vic Secret this beer is going to be one to remember.

For our summer Limited Release we are dabbling with one of our favourite styles to drink and an absolute classic. OUROBOROS is a take on the legendary sours of old which we have added whole cherries and some vanilla to add a softness to the beer in its early stages.
This is the perfect summer sour to enjoy with friends (socially distanced of course) be careful though as this beer is pushing the imperial limit at 6% the alcohol is hidden with the use of fruit and vanilla. We have also siphoned off a few sneaky barrels which will be released in kegs after ageing it on more cherries and oak late 2020/2021. Read Less

Our Signature Dark Ale from the Cascadian IPA family is something we’re really proud of. It’s malt and hop profile give the illusion of a heavy stout but the taste of a light IPA. The rich colour comes from the midnight wheat, resulting in a beer with a deep rich colour without the astringent and bitter taste that black malts can attribute. This is our take on the classic Belgian Witbier (‘White beer’ in Flemish).

It is pale and cloudy in appearance due to it being unfiltered and having a high percentage of wheat and addition of oats. This gives the beer a full mouth feel and with late additions of citrus peel & coriander seed the beer has a fresh zesty aroma.

The Wicked Wit-ch is our first signature beer in the Albedo range (derived from Latin meaning whiteness). With its soft character and fragrant aroma, Witbier is perfect for a hot Australian summers day.

This is our take on the new world style Extra Pale Ale. The Extra in the Pale Ale is because of the amount of hops added whilst still keeping the alcohol volume low. We added the same amount of hops we would usually add to a much heavier alcohol IPA just later in the boil so you get all the hop character without the higher associated bitterness and standard drinks.

We have used a heavy hand in the whirlpool and dry hopping of two of Australia’s favourite and high alpha hops Galaxy and Vic Secret. Keeping the alcohol percentage low means you can still have your favourite hop driven beers without having to settle for just having one if you have to drive. Read Less

With so much love for our Double IPAs over the years and our love of Hazy beers we decided to combine these two masterpieces into one giant whilst also doing something for the planet.

We’ve decided to offset our carbon footprint by planting trees to offset the impact of our brewing, delivery and storage has on the environment.

With so many breweries out there creating hazys we wanted to wait until we felt we had created a beer that isn’t just hazy for the sake of being hazy. We wanted to create a beer is full of flavour and still has hop punch of a Double IPA. Haze that compliments the beer and gives a velvet pillowy mouth feel whilst still having the bite of a proper DIPA.

For our first collaboration we are joining forces with Broadway based brewery Staves. Richard and I met Zac on two separate occasions. Richard completed his microbrewing course and work placement with Zac and I got to sling beers to the public and to each other on a rainy Sydney afternoon.

We have decided to mix two of our favorite styles together to create a mango driven sour new England IPA. Pilling 50Kilos of Mango into Staves 600L system was tight but it has worked perfectly.

This beer has a hazy yellow to golden orange colour with an average foam, Aroma of mango, tangerine and pine, Flavor is moderately sweet and low bitterness, bursting with fresh mango, with a slight tartness that is reminiscent of green mango, fruit juice. Read Less

Alchemy is taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary which is exactly what we try to achieve in every beer we brew at LAB.

For our latest release we recreated the first beer I brewed when being introduced to Craft (with some minor tweaks as it was originally 85IBU as was the style at the time to go bigger than Ben-Hur).
We decided to therefore name it Phoenix as it arises from the ashes of brews gone past.

Brewed with water, Pale, Carapils, Caramalt, Wheat malts, Simcoe, galaxy, Vic Secret Hops & Yeast.

We offset our carbon footprint by donating to organisations that are helping to replant trees in Australia. Read Less

The 2020 version of our IPA is a lighter version than previous years. Instead of focusing on the Malts like we have in the past and brewing an English Style IPA we focused on Australian Hops and made something lighter for what has been a bloody hot summer. Brewing this beer as a super limited KEG only release we are focusing on getting it from the brewery into your glass as quick and as fresh as possible. Make sure you get down to your local and try it whilst it lasts.

For our second collaboration we are joined forces with Quakers Hat Brewing, who are a new brewery based in our local area and named after the local point where the family grew up.

Riaz met Cam and his father Dave at Mosman's night markets last year and enjoyed a few of their beers and a chat. After sampling all of their beers it was obvious Cam knew how to produce a stunning Kolsch, so working off each others' strengths, we decided to put a twist on the beer.

This refreshing Blonde Ale is bursting with lemon and lime citrus flavour with undertones of Angostura bitters. A dry body, with low bitterness and soft carbonation makes this beer extremely sessionable and great for hot summer days or falling autumn nights. Read Less

We have made a single keg for Sweeney's Hotel in Sydney which we took our favourite parts of our WILDFIRE and our favourite parts of our BLACK MAGIC and combined them to make a good old fashioned Brown Ale.
