Very complex and well balanced, with too many flavours to list here, that all work perfectly. Stand outs are the peppery rye notes, the depth of flavour from the barrel aging and the smokey spiciness from the chillies. Definitely one to savour.

William H: the black currant steps back and the salmiac licorice becomes more pronounced, deeper, and more expressive. So: Drink it very cold for a soft, restrained salmiac note Let it warm slightly if you want that salmiac character to really shine

William H: Overall, the balance is excellent. Black currant and salmiac work together beautifully, creating a beer that’s fruity, lightly salty, gently sweet, distinctly licorice-forward, yet never cloying. A genuinely cool and thoughtfully crafted sour.
