I swear I'm getting mushroom on the nose. Notes of dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, just a hint of campfire (smoke isn't particularly there) and mushroom, tobacco late and lingering on finish.

Barreled lagers have been "ambitious but doesn't work" for me but this actually works due to the barrel choice. Lightly smoky, grassy white wine. Green grape, ripe apple, more Chardonnay, barrel oak, straw, florals, fresh cut grass. Brewed with finesse.

Been awhile since I had a new one of these, and this right here might be my favourite ever of the series. Tart and mildly sour but oh so smooth and tropical. The guava is there as always but the pineapple really shines and adds a juicy highlight. Loved it
