The Taverner’s label has been established in Tasmania for well over 30 years. In 2006 the business was purchased by Australian Honey Products and now includes a range of Honey Mead Ales, Strong Mead Ales, Honey Porter & Manuka Stout. Tasmanian honey is combined with the finest Tasmanian hops to provide a fine, mellow ale with just a hint of honey. These premium quality ales are made in the traditional manner, with secondary fermentation occurring in the bottle which means that the ale gets even better with age, similar to a fine wine. In addition to the great range of ales, Taverner’s have developed Award Winning meads including Dessert Honey Mead and Whisky Honey Mead. The ideal accompaniment to a cosy night by a roaring fire.
