Not really that sour or not as sour as I was expecting. I assume the he wheat is adding some sweetness but that seems odd. The flavours are decent and the drink is both pleasant and refreshing so no complaints.

The chocolate torte compliments this ale perfectly there is absolutely no jarring from one to the other. Now to the ale really old fashioned can imagine sitting by a real fire in a pub in England on a winter’s night. Dry coconut and burnt flavours.

Now I am on the “regular” IPA and immediately you realise it is a completely different drink. The fruit flavours are really singing, the hops seem more energetic and the alcohol hit is much stronger. This is an ale not to be rushed but savoured.

Cask well I had to have it. Really decent American cask ale the ale is very soft and fruits are muted rather than fresh or sweet. Very drinkable and the strength is not apparent.
