Pwah! Buckets of cherries and raspberries coming out of this one! Great colour and aroma of the above with great balance and acidity. On the palette there’s sour cherries at the start with the raspberries coming at the finish giving it a sweetness.Superb!

Nice and easy drinking! Hoppy nose with plenty of floral notes coming through from the Citra hop. On the palette it’s hoppy and herbaceous with a bitter finish coming through from the idaho7. A tad underwhelming considering the €5.99 price tag!

Robert O. is drinking a Pils by Mahr's Bräu at McHugh's Off Licence
Wasn’t drank in ideal conditions so I’ve cut it some slack! Slightly sweet nose not lingering too much. On the palette it’s light, slightly sweet malty - finish comes on a little strong drying and bitter giving it a bit of kick and differing it from other

Robert O. is drinking a Rude Boy by Rascals Brewing Co at McHugh's Off Licence
A bit of a gimmick if I’m being honest! Looks like an IPA - tastes like a stout. Vanilla and white chocolate on the nose followed by roasted malts and slightly bitter coffee on the palette. Fairly light bodied and easy drinking but not really my style!

Robert O. is drinking a 2022 Barrel Aged Contains Nuts by DOT Brew at McHugh's Off Licence
Really well balanced! Pretty flat, no head at all even after agitation! Sweetness present from the bourbon with notes of vanilla coming through too. Creaminess coming from the nuts I’m guessing which works well

He hit the nail on the head with this one! Juicy tropical nose with some hops thrown in there. Great body too. On the palette it’s fruity hoppy and slightly bitter. Excellently balanced for 8.2% and a superb sipper!

Robert O. is drinking a Tart Boysenberry by DOT Brew at McHugh's Off Licence
Light and crisp, Pilsner malts are present. Fruity nose of fresh tart berries. On the palette, it’s light and easy drinking, berries present upon first sip however fairly feint considering the style. Good refresher for a summers day!

Robert O. is drinking a DEATH STAR EP. II // CHOCOLATE, PEANUT & CARAMEL IMPERIAL STOUT by Northern Monk at McHugh's Off Licence
Excellent expression! Really decedent, great mouthfeel and excellently balanced. On the nose it’s caramel and a peanut brittle. On the palette caramel takes over, small hints of chocolate and chewy peanut is present near the finish however! Yummy!

Robert O. is drinking a Let It Run by DOT Brew at McHugh's Off Licence
Certainly a miss! Plenty of carbonation. Hoppy nose with not much aroma. On the palette it’s fiercely bitter, dry hopping completely taking over with a thick film forming on the back of your throat. The problem is, it’s body is too light not backing it up

Really decadent stout! Think of this as your ‘after dinner treat’. Really sweet aroma coming through. On the palette it’s got a creamy similar to baileys, small alcohol burn at the start with a sweet kick straight after, short vanilla brown sugar finish!

Robert O. is drinking a QDH Citra Lumopax x Mosaic Lupomax QIPA by Ārpus Brewing Co. at McHugh's Off Licence
The last taster with Ciano so had to get something special! This price tag of €8.45 was pretty reasonable for 12% too. It was extremely well balanced. Really floral nose, slightly herbal. Extremely sweet on the palette, nearly too sweet - tropical too!

Oh god yeah! Can’t get over the value of this beer! €2.50 for a 7.7% DDH IPA? Can’t go wrong! Citrus and hoppy nose. Not much dry hopping apparent on the palette - slight coating on the back of your throat. Light bodied and super smooth. Really impressed!

An unexpected surprise from Caolann! Gorgeously made beer. Big lambic nose with possibly some apricot too. On the palette it’s sour with some acidity and juicy apricot, very noticeable white wine notes at the finish too. Well balanced!
