I really struggled with this one. I’m not sure what they were going for here but all I got was a medicine-like aftertaste that was impossible to ignore. It tasted like Chloraseptic. Maybe opening sooner would have made a difference? Oh well

Somehow, this beer has always alluded me. Finally, I got my hands on it. It did not disappoint. A bit of a departure from the “Julius” profile & more along the lines of cool melon tones & chewy in its structure. I enjoyed it immensely. Worth the hunt!

This was a lot different than the single version & the Imperial. Seemed more like a West Coast style. Bitter, strong acidity from the lemon and orange zest flavor. Very clean drinking brew, certainly goes down easy enough.

Sort of let down w/ this variant. I didn’t feel as if the original BCS base product was represented well here. This Stout drank very thin and the berry flavors weren’t for me. I knew that going in but I was hoping the barrel presence was more amplified.

I thought this beer was best once it warmed up a tad. Mouthfeel is a bit chewy, notes of citrus Hi-chews with a nice sting in the finish. Delicious brew!

Typical blueprint of a Triple. It’s thick & jammy but also a bit boozy. Beers of this nature usually always bring out strong notes of apricot. It’s chewy, and aslo finishes very heavy. I was hoping for a hoppier experience. No pun intended. 3.8

This was a very nice focused expression of Citra. I found it to be light w/ tones of soft melon & kiwi. Aside from the nose, the obvious is Citrus. Clementine juice is dominant and also into the finish. This series def seems to stand apart from the OGs

Bear is a great brown ale on its own. All of the variants I’ve had were also very good. That said, I was hoping for a bit more here. The nuttiness & char are the main flavor notes, can’t detect much honey sweetness. Great beer regardless.

Total Hop Bomb! I normally don’t like or prefer triples but this one really surprised me. Uncharacteristically, this beer wasn’t a booze cruise. Hops are highly pronounced & the citrus and tropicals are allowed to present nicely. Loved this one! 4.4

Delicious as this was, it may have been a bit too sweet. Like a pasty Stout almost. Great flavors of dark chocolate, & sweetness from the Italian cookies w/ some almond to finish. Very tasty, a perfect capture of these flavors. I needed more barrel tho.
