Roast-fwd nose, lactose & wood richness. Coffee as well. Going in: the roastiness doesn’t translate so much, & the body is lighter than expected. This works to the good. Wood notes; the roastiness does arrive later. So unusual; wants so much to be a 4.25

Pineapple & apple nose. Modest citrus and pineapple tartness. Crisp apple. The passionfruit is a nice accent.

Nose: an instant impression of pineapple quickly adds hop-fwdness. I get creamy hops: tons of each somehow in great balance. Smooth. Doesn’t burn as much as the hop levels suggest; the nose underpredicts the hop levels too. Crisp citric acid finish.
