Alan Laidlaw is drinking a Ghost X by Parish Brewing Co.
Concentrated tangerine. Really pithy, grassy with a long dank finish.
Alan Laidlaw is drinking an Export India Porter Columbus by The Kernel Brewery
Charcoal, burnt toast and an impressive balance between creamy and bitter. About as good as a porter can be really.
Alan Laidlaw is drinking a Pils by Mills Brewing
Like a sourdough pils. Yeasty, bready, slightly lemony and fizzy with fermentation. Mills pils, hell's bells.
Alan Laidlaw is drinking a Leffe Brune / Bruin by Abbaye de Leffe
Either this has changed or I have. Tastes like brown sugar, water and overripe bananas muddled together. No thanks.
Amazing. Rich, then grapey. Really weedy and sulfuric on the nose. Oily mouthfeel. Pineapple pulp, sweet with tropical fruits. It's one of the best Cloudwater DIPAs in a while.
