RuncornianRealAleHunter is drinking a Hell Bent by Small Batch Brewing Co at Untappd at Home
A pilsner to take the battle to the big guys if ever there was one. Wonderfully sweet and lightly carbed. Biscuity with some complex hop notes. Hard to fault. Brewed just a few miles from me

A bit boozy so had to make it a half. Spicy one this. Plenty of hop to compliment the murky, tantalising haze. Not hugely fruity, but tickles the back of the throat. It's a good silky number from castle rock who have a tendency for interesting brews.

RuncornianRealAleHunter is drinking a Marble Mild by Marble Beers Ltd at Helter Skelter
Always a real treat finding my favourite Manchester brewery on tap at one of my more local craft houses. Slightly dry, which compliments the coffee notes and a slightly Bournville chocolate after taste. One can only dream of a full comeback for mild.
RuncornianRealAleHunter is drinking a Special Oatmeal Stout by Coniston Brewing Company at Untappd at Home
Asked my parents nicely to bring this back from the black bull in the lake district for me as we don't often see a variation of their ales around these parts. People often brand beers as 'dry stouts' but this is a genuine article. Properly dry roasted.
Bit of an illusional one this. Upon serving out the fridge on first impressions it was far too sweet, cloying almost. Akin to a refreshers bar. Fruits and hop over powering anything else. After twenty minutes or so it began to mellow and become drinkable.
