John K. is drinking a Mosaic Pale by Hammerpot Brewery at Farnborough Royal British Legion
Very distinctive flavour from this single hop ale. Very nice.
John K. is drinking an Atlantic APA by Brixton Brewery at The Merton Apprentice
Excellent hoppy beer, cuts through a thirst like a sharp shovel through warm shit.
John K. is drinking a Rock The Kazbek by Redemption Brewing Company at The Merton Apprentice
Nice crisp pale ale with an interesting lingering finish from the Kazbek hops.
John K. is drinking a London Pride by Fuller, Smith & Turner at The Old Ford
Not my favourite as it's a pale shadow of its former self, but it's well served here so will be generous.

John K. is drinking a Nautical Mild by Titanic Brewery at The Tilly Shilling (Wetherspoon)
Rich and fruity, bordering on a porter. Wbo cares, it's a jolly good beer whatever you call it.

Lovely rich smooth malty best bitter.
John K. is drinking a Black Noise by Dorking Brewery at The Tilly Shilling (Wetherspoon)
Suoerb beer. Almost smoky and quite dry. I'd call it a stout myself but either way it's a cracker.

Typically malty beer from Hog's Back, with a spicy edge from the rye.

John K. is drinking The Lawn Mower by Backyard Brewery at North Camp
Disappointing, considering the admittedly amusing hype on the can. Serves me right. Will bring reading glasses next time to supermarket.
Kevin T.: Carlsberg innit!!

John K.: Yes, I know that now I have found an electron microscope to read the sodding label. Crafty in all but the product in the can.

John K. is drinking a Bomble Bee 17 by Backyard Brewery at North Camp
Didn't realise this was a Carlsberg brand until reading small print after pouring. Initial hop hit quickly fades. Average lager after all.
Tony L.: This craft movement. Certainly got to be on your toes with the big boys muscling in.
Fri, 06 Apr 2018 16:22:32 +0000
John K.: Too right. Only with a magnifying glass can one read it's made by Carlsberg.
