Eclipse - Salted Caramel (2018)

Finally got to open this bottle for my birthday, poured it in 2 glasses. Funnily enough, the salty part ended up in my glass, while the one I poured for my partner doesn't taste salty, but more caramelly

Ok...cracked it open, finally. Feeling like this has gotten more full bodied & earthier. I feel like the caramel notes have subdued. Back in the day, all the flavors were present. Subtle saline saltiness, subtle caramel sweetness.

#2018 dark black pour, brown lacing. Malty, roasty nose. Malty, roasty, slight boozyness, caramel, & salty.

Slowing making my way through this 2018 series, which I’ve enjoyed so far. This is aged in Whiskey barrels with salted caramel added in. The taste is muted now but I see what they were going for. You get the sea salt but not much caramel.
