It has a really good depth and body to it. I think it could last another few years. Smokiness is 90% gone but the sweetness that’s left is very satisfying. It’s not yet thin, but I worry it could thin soon. Bought 10 years ago nearly to the day.

For a 9 year old beer it sure beats the shit out of new beers from 99% of breweries. Barleywine notes, no oxidation whatsoever. I’m not sure why it’s so good. But voodoo.

Tobacco, black licorice, tannins, figs and dark fruit. Decent amount of barrel. Some oxidation but not enough to take away from the beer. Doesn’t remind me of newer Magicks but this was definitely cool to try.
