Struby Snack - 2019 Ales For ALS

Kate Struby loved craft India Pales Ales and live music, and this beer is named in her honor. Every year brewers select a blend of hops which are generously donated, and breweries in turn donate a portion of the sale proceeds to researching a cure for ALS.

This year’s blend majority components include Mosaic, Simcoe,and experimental hop HBC 630. Mosaic and Simcoe offer notes of citrus and pine, and HBC 630 contributes an intriguing sweet fruit quality almost like cherry. We augmented and accentuated this note by, of course, adding more HBC 630. A dash of El Dorado adds melon character, and the overall impression of the beer is fruity, easy drinking and super tasty.
