Auld Acquaintance (2015)

Pike Auld Acquaintance is a dark, toasty amber ale seasoned with orange peel, Yakima Valley hops, and spices. Two types of orange peel, Curacao and sweet orange, are added to this winter brew along with coriander, cassia bark and nutmeg to create a well balanced and special spiced beer.

This year's label honors the venerable beer writer, Michael Jackson. Pike Brewing founders, Charles and Rose Ann Finkel, discovered Michael’s classic book, The World Guide to Beer in 1978, the year they founded Merchant du Vin Corporation. The book served as inspiration for the Finkel’s burgeoning craft beer business. The Finkel’s and Michael remained friend for close to 30 years, until his passing. Show Less
