Pumpkin beers… just can’t do it. This porter-esque version is not bad but the spices take control of this kind of beer regardless of the malt profile.

I couldn’t decide whether to rate it, 4.00 or 4.25 and decided for 4.25, since I will just have another one. All pumpkin beers should be black. The pumpkin spices, which I am not a big fan of are not overpowering; that’s the way I like it.
