5th Anniversary Ferridactyl

This beer is a culmination of years of work within our barrel program. We started with a blend of 5 barrels, containing 3 different batches of beer. The blend contains: 20% 22 month aged Heaven Hill Bond, 40% 12 month aged 9yr Elijah Craig Bond, and 40% 9 month aged 9yr Elijah Craig Sif. Once blended, we hand processed 4lbs of luscious Vanuatu vanilla beans, and conditioned the blend for an entire month atop them. We are incredibly happy with the final results. The nose hits strong with toasted marshmallow and a hint of the oak to come. The first taste immediately brings a wave of bourbon, coconut forward oak, and some heat. Marshmallow forward vanilla follows and lingers, with a touch of roast and cacao to finish. Best enjoyed at 50F. Show Less
