Pours near black with some soapy head. Malty aroma with chocolate and a bit of liquorice. Get lots of roasted coffee on tasting before some moderately sweet malt starts to dominate. Nice smooth medium body. Threatening to be a porter but pretty good.

8 Sail's distinctive lack of fizz works well here. Plum and dark fruit, with a hint of liquorice much like a porter. Which I guess may be the problem: It makes me feel I'd rather be drinking something thicker...
