Kölsch Style Ale, 5%: For some reason grown ass men always act the fool when they’re near a swimming pool. Something about swimming trunks must trigger a man’s inner thirteen-year-old. The whiff of chlorine must surface the trauma of having to reveal their pubescent, awkward bodies in a swimsuit, and sends them right back to the scene of the crime, forever stunting their poolside maturity at an eighth-grade level. Their senses of humor regress and suddenly they’re talking about banana hammocks and cannonballs, and waving pool noodles around like obscene, aspirational prosthetics. It’s enough to make me want to drink a pool-full of beer and forget these clowns. And this kolsch is just the thing: light and crisp, it has just enough hop bitterness to warrant another gulp to drown out these fools. Show Less
