More Karmeliet than Westvleteren. Slight cider with nice Belgian characteristics. Body is spot on.
Mat: Gets better with age. I thought it had peaked but like it more now than last time. It has its merits and I don't have the vocabulary or training to identify the components to describe the missing je ne sais quoi.

Justin B. 's Torpedo clone—similarities are there. Hops selection seems right, particularly on the flavor, but the bitter is comparatively light as is the aroma (dh?). Reminds me more of a slightly more bitter Sierra Nevada pale. Great beer regardless.

Mat: Definitely one of those beers that grows on you as it warms. The apple sauce turns to a Belgian flavor and it's warming.
Mat: I've got a quad in my future, ideally brewed this Summer for consumption in the cold months. I plan to use my Feradelfus recipe sans Philly sour and time. Looking forward to you doing a tripel again.
