A Louisiana Pale Ale take on the NEIPA style…we designed this beer to be a more sessionable approach at the style with a lighter body and a slightly lower ABV to help combat the Louisiana summer days! While this beer is still hazy, juicy, and fruit forward with a subtle dankness, it drinks lighter than the traditional NEIPA. Lots of grapefruit and tangerine make this the perfect summer beer! This filtered American Wheat Ale is brewed with a base of malted wheat and 2 row, beefed up by some Vienna and rounded out with a generous dose of honey malt. Honey malt adds subtle characters of sweetness, nuttiness and very light hints of caramel. A few pounds per barrel of dried orange peel was added to the whirlpool creating a perfect blend of spice on the palate and aromatics of sweet orange marmalade. This beer is brewed in partnership with The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation. A portion of all Doux Drop sales will be donated to help fund projects around the state throughout the year.
