India Pale Ales or IPA, originated in the late 1700s as British breweries sent beer to expatriates and troops in India via sail. Lacking reliable refrigeration, brewers produced these ales with large amounts of hops and alcohol, which acted as a preservative in order to make the long voyage. Here we’ve produced a strong, bold and fruity India Pale Ale in the tradition of the fine West Coast breweries. It is sure to please the hoppiest of hopheads. We start with 5 different malts to create a sturdy foundation for the hop assault. Then we build on this foundation with Bravo, Columbus and Centennial hops for bitterness and flavor. The pièce de résistance is the generous addition of a Cascade and Simcoe dry hop for a huge citrus and apricot aroma. Cheers! Read Less

Bozone Select Amber Ale is the flagship offering from Bozeman Brewing Company. A light amber ale that has a medium malt body gently balanced by a hint of hops for a clean, refreshing finish. Made with Montana grown and malted Pale barley, as well as Crystal and Vienna malts. Hopped with a blend of Magnum, Columbus, Santiam and a late kettle addition of Cascade hops for a pleasant aroma. This is a truly quaffable session beer.

This IPA is an unfiltered delight named after the EcoStar Award we received for our commitment to environmental and sustainable practices. To celebrate our “green” brewery, we double down on the “green” in this beer by doubling the Simcoe dry hop. With abundant tropical fruit and citrus flavors, this beer is ripe for the drinking.

This beer contains a product called Clarity-Ferm, an enzyme that chops up the gluten proteins present in beer so that people with sensitivities to gluten do not react adversely. In the end it produces a beer that tests at less than 10 ppm, according to White Labs.

Brewed for winter in honor of the beloved Pinhead Classic at Bridger Bowl, this Bohemian lager has a light body and a dry, crisp finish. Bitterness, flavor, and aroma are derived from the heavy use of Magnum and Czech Saaz hops. After an average of 29 months aging in our barrel cellar, we’re excited to release this blend of Flanders Red barrels with Oregon Tart cherries and raspberries. This beer began in stainless steel with a variety of rich Vienna and Munich malts and just a touch of black malt for color.

It was quickly moved into red wine barrels with the Roselare blend of yeast, containing brettanomyces, lactobacillus, pediococcus and a sherry strain. Over time the brett and bacteria transformed this beer into a lightly tart, funky, brett forward beer. The cherries and raspberries contribute tart and fruity notes. There is also no denying this beer spent a long time in oak. It all comes together for a complex and flavorful beer. Cheers!

Once the dominant style in the area of Brussels around the 18th and 19th centuries, specifically the city of Louvain and the village of Hoegaarden where it was produced, the style all but died around the 1950's. As happened with many distinctive beer styles, the lager revolution made serious inroads into the traditional wit bier markets. In its heyday, it was hugely popular with the grain and beet farmers in the area where it was made.
So what is a Wit bier? It is a type of wheat beer made with malted wheat, flaked oats and malted barley. Wit biers are traditionally spiced with sweet and bitter orange peels, freshly ground coriander and a secret spice known only to the brewers and kept far enough in the back of the flavor profile so as not to be instantly recognizable. The beer also has a slight lactic tartness that contributes to its drinkability on a hot summer day. The lightness of body from the wheat and a firm tartness from hops, bitter orange, and Belgian yeast offset perfectly the smoothness of the oats and the sweet orange, making this among the most refreshing beer styles.
