Ella Nelson IPA by Odd Company Brewing

Nigel Teabag is drinking an Ella Nelson IPA by Odd Company Brewing at Edmonton Public Schools Archives & Museum

The aroma makes you think, “what’s that again?”. Then you take another sniff. But the mix of grapes and hops - one of the most difficult combos to pull off (the last one I had was from Avery Brew in CO) is a Yes from me. If you are in AB get one of these!

It’s justified and it’s hazy and it likes to roam the land! Great taste, delicious hops, and full of citrus and light sweetness.

I like the beach series, accidental was probably my favorite. Hazy, tangy, scant citrus best on a sweltering summer day. Open in July.

It’s from the can so there could be multiple factors at play but this doesn’t even taste like it was made from this brewery-Flat, plain, bad

Vic Secret Hops are listed on more and more bottles as of late. They really brighten up this bitter forward brew. But, not TS best. Next.

Thirst For Knowledge by The Establishment Brewing Company

Nigel Teabag is drinking a Thirst For Knowledge by The Establishment Brewing Company at Edmonton Public Schools Archives & Museum

It’s hard for commons to stand out but it can be done - dark fruit- hint of tarragon/mint. The caramel notes are great for a cold winter day

A brewer makes a beer and they brought water. A brewer makeA a beer and they brought H2O&hops...and the game goes on. A blend of refuse.

Why did this IPA cross the road? To be in the middle. No haze, more of a humid afternoon. Hops are audacious, not much fruit or juice. Meh.

The Wolf by Sea Change Brewing Co.

This is a 3.25 by draft, however by can it is lack lustre. There is a tanin & reluctant hop flatness that comes thru production process.

I think a singer whom I can’t quite recall made a better song than this beer. Bland, banal, & boring. Alliteration is key to this brew.
