McWilly's Wee Heavy

Like the occasional appearance of the mysterious village of Brigadoon in the Scottish Highlands, McWilly’s Wee Heavy has been known to appear in our vicinity from time to time. When this extraordinary event occurs, there is much joy and celebration amongst the rare few who stumble upon this ale before it disappears once again.

From the fabled library of beers conjured by Crossroads friend Davo McWilliams, this beer is a delight. Brewed in the Edinburgh style, this malty 9% brew is crafted with the finest ingredients of Northern Europe and loyal to historic detail. To that end, the “secret sauce” that distinguishes McWilly’s is the addition of brewers invert sugar created using the same techniques found in the 1700’s. It makes for a truly unique flavor profile and is a faithful nod to our Scottish ancestors.
