Southern Love

Baltic porters originated in countries bordering the Baltic Sea (mostly, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania). Greatly impressed by the big, black imperial stouts from Great Britain, the Baltic region put their own slant on this giant, well-rounded style by brewing with lager yeast and cold conditioning the beer for months. The result is a smoother, cleaner, and often less-roasty version of the typical imperial stout, generally boasting an ABV between 7-9%. Outer Light and Hanging Hills put their own "Southern love" in this brew, adding molasses and vanilla. The result is a dangerously delicious and creamy beer that tastes just like French toast.
