Prison Juice

Prison Juice is a brew inspired by Pruno or Toilet Wine. Whatever you like to call it, both concept and process are intriguing enough to do a homage brew.
Our good friends from Ugly Duck flew up from Denmark to collaborate on this jailhouse hooch, but insisted we let you know that no toilets were involved in the making of this brew. We have a decent setup for fermenting beers, so this is the modern take on a bare necessity Prison Hooch.
We’ve put all finesse aside, and loaded the fermenters with absurd amounts of orange juice and peach puree. The fruit and a dry hop addition of Nelson ensures that the subtlety of the Belgian yeast is lost forever. In its place, you’ll discover a rich, tart, funky & boozy fruitiness, that dries out completely, and leaves you wanting more. That is; if you’re, like us, the type to dig this kind of raw and unrefined toilet wine. Enjoy!
