10 Middle Fingers - Haze

Hazy, smooth, mildly bitter, citrus/tropical

For our first ever ‘IPA’, we decided to go with the New England style. Huge tropical and citrus aromas, smooth mouthfeel and relatively bitter. However, we added our own voice.

We used a culture (many different types of yeast) from a brewery in Framgarden Norway that has been in use for decades, maybe even centuries. It produces a massive citrus aroma which means that we could limit the amount of hops that went in. Using this culture we were able to get away with, by today’s standards, a critical under-hopping. It also increased the bitterness in a way we didn’t expect, so don’t let the IBU fool you.

5.8% ABV - OG 1.048 SG, FG 0.999 SG - 0.1 IBU Tinseth
