Last year we had the pleasure of brewing with one of Budapest's finest, Monyo, in their digs, this year we had Monyo over at our place for the return brew! Together we made a round, sightly sweet and super easy going New England IPA brewed using extra pale malt, oats and wheat. We've used a new hop to us, Bru-1, which provides a lime like zest and bubblegum tones whilst a good dose of ekuanot in the whirlpool brings super fleshy, soft pear and peach flavours. Read Less

Me møtte dei fine folka frå Budapest´s Monyo Brewing på ei av våre reiser og fann fort ut me har mykje til felles når det kjem til idéar om øl. Naturleg nok kom tanken om å lage eit øl saman. Prosjektet var å lage eit sterkt og unikt brygg der me nyttar nordiske ingrediensar. Resultatet vart ein Wheat Wine tilsett solbær som vart lagra på Breckenridge Bourbon eikefat i fleire månader, og derretter tilsett eit hint av vanilje. Det ferdige ølet er så stort som det høyres ut, vinøs og syrleg med tonar av whiskey og frukt. Read Less

Bakunin and Monyo left their fingerprints everywhere on the dense barleywine, itself similar to an amaretto liqueur. With a spicy sweetness and the dry tart of almonds, it goes down with an easy hint of hoppy bitterness. Read Less

This year they are jumping on the haze craze, but with some local twist: the BPBW 2019 Tart NEIPA is rocking at 6.5% with serious amounts of local peach and sea buckthorn purée added into the mix. Double dry hopped with Loral, El Dorado, Wai-iti and Mandarina Bavaria - representing both the world’s most famous hop growing regions and the diversity of this year's lineup - and fermented with LalBrew New England yeast, this brew is a symphony for the upcoming Budapest Summer vibes.
