Brothers, Ed and Fergus, are behind the island’s first microbrewery with an ambition to shake up the traditional beers the island has to offer in a sustainable way. Wight Knuckle Brewery took its name from ‘white-knuckle’, an exciting experience we hope to portray in our delicious range of craft beers.
We use an array of modern, new-world hops with distinctive malts brewed in our microbrewery and tap room behind the Pilot Boat Inn in Bembridge. We were astonished at the lack of representation of craft microbreweries on the Isle of Wight, and felt that the time was right to shake up this space. We love locally produced goods, drinks and food, particularly if they can come from the Isle of Wight, and so in January 2021, we established Wight Knuckle Brewery. It took some time developing our beers, firstly in homebrewing and more recently in our equipment which we have been operating since April 2021. We have a passion for our local environment, community and social ventures with an aim to sustainably produce beer and give back to the community with an allocation our profits to local conservation charities.
All our craft beers are unfined, unfiltered, unpasteurised and 100% vegan.
