Our spring seasonal is a modern era German-American hybrid Hefeweizen aged on Apricots. We use a blend of German and American yeast strains to balance the esters the derive from the yeast. We then lightly dry hop this beer with Mosaic hops to add some depth to the already complex flavor profile before moving the beer to rest on 800 pounds of Apricots for a month.

The Story behind the beer: If there were one beer in our portfolio that represented Buz it would be our spring
seasonal, Midtown Hefe. On a trip to California Buz stopped at a brewery that had an apricot hefeweizen, he
couldn’t stop talking about how good it was and really wanted to make one. Our brewers wrote it off at first but
Buz insisted and showed up to the brewery with some apricot puree one day and said “Let’s make that beer!” He
brewed the initial test batch himself with help from our brewing team on our 10 gallon pilot system. The beer
turned out wonderful and the rest is history. We’ve since added our own spin to the recipe, all along the way
making sure he approved. While brewing this beer and was never uncommon to find him pulling samples off the
tanks during maturation and making sure the beer was coming along to his standards. We vow to always brew
this beer in his honor and hope that you enjoy it as much he did. Read Less

We increased the amount of high protein malt to give North Loop a big creamy mouthfeel. Like most of our Hazy IPAs, we double dry-hopped this beer.
