10 Hop Double IPA

Our county of Clare is lucky to be home to The Burren, a unique karst landscape that plays host to a wide diversity of flora and fauna and fragrant summer walks. And speaking of diversity; we've packed in the largest number of hops ever into this Double IPA. Designed to let the hops shine through, we've built a complex and layered flavour profile.

The result is an intense fruit scent with pine, citrus and, in the brewing parlance, a wonderful dank aroma.

We've used eight hops in the kettle (Colombus, Simcoe, El Dorado, Citra, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook) and then we double dry-hop it heavily with Nelson Sauvin and Strata. Read Less

The small island of Scattery of county Clare's coast may look tranquil but it wasn't so when Magnus Barefoot, legendary King of Norway, invaded in 1001. He laid destruction to the island and pilfered many a treasure from the resident monks.

It has been nearly a thousand years so we thought it was about time we took something back from the Norwegians: their unique Kveik Yeast (Hornindal, to be precise). Perfected over generations in farmhouses across Norway it adds an almost tropical, fruity bounce to new, exciting beers like this one.
