uBeer

We started our beer project in August 2018 with 13 friends and have created a Belgian company which is named "uBeer" that uses Brasserie Grain d'Orge in Hombourg BE for the beer production and Pom'One in Fourons for the cider production. Our IPA beer ABV is 6,2% (soft), the EBC is 32 (coppery) and IBU is 30 (mild). Slutte beer should be served between 5 and 7°c, ideally in a wide top / round bottom glass (chalice). We have our own branded glass. We were awarded a World Beer Award 2019 in London (UK) for World's Best IPA Specialty and a Gold Medal in Lyon (FR) Concours International 2021 in category American IPA. In 2020 we have launched our apple cider (ABV 4,5%) crowned with a Gold Medal at 2021 World Cider Award in London (UK) and at 2022 Women's Internationnal Trophy in Wiesbaden (GE). In 2023, two new beer products are born: barrel aged versions of our famous IPA in Chardonnay and in Pinot Noir editions in collaboration with Domaine des Marnières from Dahlem (BE), multiple Gold Medals recipients at Belgian Wine Contests of VVS (Vlaams Vereniging Sommeliers). The 33cl versions took a 6 months nap in a 2013 Chardonnay barrel and a 2015 Pinot Noir barrel, followed by 2 weeks refermentation in the bottles at 25°c, while the 75cl versions took a 9 months nap in the same barrels followed by 3 weeks refermentation in the bottles at 25°c.
