The first edition of this new series is designed to showcase a new hop from YCH called CRYO POP. The best description is just...WOW! If ever there was a hop that lived up to it's name...it just screams TROPICAL! We spent two days of tasting it to try to nail down how we'd describe this to you, but it's just so intense and complex that we find ourselves using almost all the over-used descriptors. It's tropical. It's sweet citrus. It's apricot. It's pineapple. It's sweet, ripe peach. It's definitely mango and guava. Then as it warms up a bit we're finding a touch of vanilla and even a hint coconut. And did we mention it's just TROPICAL? It definitely carries a massive, massive punch with it. Read Less

Each batch uses different hop combos and we try different grist bills to find just the right color, body, sweetness and flavor. This version showcases an experimental hop known as HBC 630. We find it to be a juice bomb with sweet berry and pineapple notes, a big sweet body and a citrus and peach aroma. This version is much sweeter than the previous. Almost candy-like. Read Less

Another double IPA that just seems too smooth to be 8%. It pours a beautiful hazy, yellow to light orange color. The hop combo really presents a wonderfully complex aroma and flavor profile. On the nose we tend to get sweet citrus notes of tangerine or mandarin cuties with a hint of dankness. The flavor profile seems more like overly ripe mango or passionfruit notes with a hint of orange zest. We're reminded of the little cups of fruit cocktail we had as a kid, but with a little orange zest spritzed over it.
