Jack D'Or is our recurring reincarnation of the old Pretty Things Boston beer. Inspired by saison beer from Belgium and Northern France, we've tried a few different things since we moved to Mars, and now it's time to return to a simpler, lighter beer for drinking this Springtime.

Light gold, lightly hazy, and fermented with a blend of classic yeast strains, hopped with Whitbread Goldings and coolship hopped with Strisselspalt. 5.8% Alc. by Vol. Vegan friendly, contains Allergens: Barley, Wheat. Read Less

A new NE IPA, festooned with grapefruits!

We brewed a nice 5.6% abv hazy IPA, adding the zest and pulp from 80 ruby grapefruits in the coolship, giving an orange-reddish hued beer. Now, as you know, we don't add concentrated or artificial ingredients here at SMOD, so this isn't a grapefruit-bomb. But it's a lovely fruity IPA in which the real fruit is complimented by some zesty hops: Mosaic, Waimea and Amarillo.

Hope it keeps you cool through the hot British summer! I'm writing this with the sun out, you'll probably read it in the rain. Oh well!

Dark and rich but only 4.8% ABV: a Belgian Abbey-inspired “refectory” or “single” type beer. Perfect for Christmas before you’re ready to move on up to the Dubbels, Quads, and pretty much every other Christmassy beer!

This dark reddish-brown ale has notes of marzipan and lightly roasted coffee. It’s the exceedingly drinkable “refectory” beer of the range and sets the tone for what’s to come. It was inspired by the old brown version of Westvleteren 6 Dann knew and loved back in the 1990s. Read Less

Cabaret is our reinvention of an old Belgian beer style ("cabaret beer"). At 4.8% abv, it's a mixed fermentation beer with a mix of Belgian and new world influences, with a restrained funkiness and soft drinkability. We added orange zest and pulp in the coolship, with Waimea, Strisselspalt and dry hopped with Tettnanger. Basically, this is a fun little mixed fermentation summery beer. Cheers to that, people!
