For 'Midnight Emperor' we have fused two of our heaviest and most cherished beers. Our hoppy Imperial stout 'Midnight Oil' and the just as hoppy, and very aromatic Imperial IPA 'Emperor Of California'.

Together they in forces in this mash-up, where the fruity and malty characteristics of Ipa go hand in hand with the roasted, heavy and bitter backbone of the stout.

Notoriously workshy; the bear will usually turn up just as you've filled the very last bottle. Immediately upon arrival the bear will claim to be thirsty from "all the hard work he did here, bro", whilst engaging in a staring contest with your beer. To sea the friendship, simply uncap a bottle of Hneyburn, our in a wide glass and hand it to the bear. You now have a bear as a friend. This brew earned us approximately 3000 friends. Read Less

The beer is brewed as a lighter German Altbier. The color is light golden with matched sweetness from the malts and a slight bitterness from German hops.

That it is an Altbier refers solely to the fact that the beer is
brewed and over-fermented in the same way as before the introduction of the lager roll.

At Randers Bryghus, we bottle the beer unfiltered
and unpasteurized. It gives the best and purest taste.

The beer is straw yellow in the glass with a solid off-white foam crown. In taste, you experience both sweetness from the caramel malt and a well-tuned bitterness from the hops.

Excellent beer for the Christmas table, especially with fatty dishes.

The beer lasts a minimum of 30 days with New Grove Martitius rum, which gives a warming touch of alcohol at the end of the taste. There are notes of oak, molasses and vanilla. The brew is carbon black with strong, persistent foam.

Traditionally, it is the heavy, dark beers that appear on the table at Christmas time, but here is a fruity and spicy alternative in the form of a real Christmas IPA. Mashed with 15% rye that binds with a crispy, bitter and spicy touch, rounded off by a suitable residual sweetness, as well as character from selected caramel - and appet malt. During a 90 minute boil we have hopped with Warrir and Columbus, but the real joker is the Japanese Sorachi Ace hops, we have dry hopped the beer with.

Notes of lemongrass, lime and even dill are felt in the background and help to make this a different and exciting Christmas beer - perfect for the fatty Christmas food. Read Less
