In 1939-1945 and 1948-1992 the Lobkowicz dynasty was deprived of the right to manage the brewery. In 1992 they got the brewery back through restitution. Immediately, the Lobkowicz family invested in the modernisation and innovation of brewing in Vysoký Chlumec. After the changes that were made to the brewery, the beer regained the quality it was once famous for.
The brewery, which is under the management of the chief brewer (brew-master) Pavel Bekeni, specialises in top-fermented beers and flavoured wheat specials, but the offer includes also traditional beer.
Brewery closed in 2021.
V letech 1939–1945 a 1948–1992 neměli Lobkowiczové možnost pivovarem disponovat. Až teprve v roce 1992 získali pivovar zpět v restituci. Ihned poté investovala rodina Lobkowiczů značné prostředky do modernizace a inovace vaření piva ve Vysokém Chlumci. Po těchto úpravách získalo chlumecké pivo zpět kvalitu, která ho proslavila v minulosti.
Pivovar, pod vedením sládka Pavla Bekeniho, se specializuje na svrchně kvašená piva, ochucené a pšeničné speciály, ale v jeho nabídce můžete najít i piva klasického typu.
Pivovar uzavřen v roce 2021.
