We had no choice but to set out on an epic quest to craft the perfect beer to live up to the namesake. Strata takes the lead while we also enlisted the help of Citra and Lemondrop hops to create an experience not unlike dunking your head in a giant bowl of tropical fruit cocktail. The story of Homeboy, the sweet chocolate Labrador, began with three long, fancy, registered names. Our local humane society asked for a foster for the sweet boy who had been abused. On the way home from picking him up, we said, "We've got you Homeboy." The name stuck and he is now living his best life. A portion of the proceeds of this smooth, malty ale with hazelnut flavor and aroma will be donated to the Marion County Humane Society - Knoxville, Iowa. We went all out. Mosaic, Paradigm, Triumph, Callista, and Enigma hops all pitched in to attempt some form of bubblegummyness.
