Kent hops are the best, best in a sparkling, bright, pale ale that's best drunk in the sparkling Kent sunshine, where the hops grow best. I use Goldings for a tangy, slightly astringent bitterness with Fuggles for earthly balance (and some others that I don't talk about). Suffice to say this is good, clean Kent Pale Ale. Read Less

Dark Porter is brewed with six different malts for a satisfying, rich, malty body full of roasty, chocolatey flavours all balanced by a deep & lasting hop bitterness.

GADDS' Dog Bolter Dark Porter is brewed & bottled, with great TLC, by Lois, Eddie & the gang of miscreants they employ at their Ramsgate Brewery on the Isle of Thanet, on Kent's eastern coast where gulls sing and hops grow wild.

The ingredients used are: water, malted barley, malted wheat, Kent hops & brewers' yeast.

Roast barley and chocolate and crystal malts combine to give the ale a deep deep ruby colour and sweet mocha and toast flavour.

A little oats in the mash help to provide a smoothness and late Fuggles hops create a resinous balance.

It ferments out fairly dry and the end result is a sturdy, powerful and smooth ale not to be rushed at. Read Less

When I'm an old, old man I'll drink a gallon of Number 7 a week, safe in the knowledge it's a decent, consistent and hoppy brew, not too strong to put my consumption outside the recommended guidelines, whatever they may be at the time. Crack some coriander seeds and they release a pungent, spicy aroma with surprising citrus notes of orange, lemon and lime. Add some dried orange peel (careful now, the pith is bitter) and chuck the lot in the copper just as you're finishing the boil on a pale wort (a wort containing 30% malted wheat and hopped to a low bitterness level). Throw armfuls of soft, fruity Perle hops in afterwards (perhaps some Saaz hops too), cool and ferment warm with an ale yeast.

Cask condition the beer and enjoy it, served cool, on warm, sultry afternoons when you should be at work. Watch the world go by. Relax.
