I maintain the opinion that this is one of the best dark ales in the north west. Smooth, dense chocolate malt paired beautifully with beef crisps. My only gripe is it's the ABV of a stout and the glass wasn't totally clean - otherwise a thing of beauty.

first untappd check in for this beer! New range by the brewery. Not entirely sure why or what the story is behind the beer other than they're regional hops not usually used, this uses UK hops, pleasantly balanced hop and malt in a light gold base. Decent

Good dark look.A bit complex as it has a smooth and creamy taste yet also a bit watery. A good hit of coffee followed by a sweetness aftertaste from chocolate. What you should expect from a traditional Porter.
