Chris Meechan: Norman W. As my resident cask ale expert Untappd friend, is a cask off of it tastes buttery?

Norman Wigley: Chris M. Not encountered that Chris and it's not what you'd expect in an IPA. Devon is famed for dairy products so maybe it's intentional - unless of course it's rancid!!!
Chris Meechan: Haha fair enough Norman W. It wasn't undrinkable just a it odd

Alloa Beer Festival. Third. Fairly deep gold, a little persistent pale lemon foam. Light golden syrup aroma. Similar flavour, mildly tangy, sweetish, though a touch more bitterness on the finish than I'd like. Pleasant and characterful for the strength.

Alloa Beer Festival. Third. Rich copper colour. Appealing fruity, almost raspberry sherbet aroma. Fairly light, mildly tangy flavour, a bit of syrupy malt sweetness. Drying finish almost reaches bitterness. Unexpected and quite nice.
