Best seller in cask and keg, Salvation! in name and IPA in nature. A modern tip of the hat to the crispy west coast IPA of yore, but jammed with modern hops and delivered at a more sessionable ABV.

The all-day drinker for the beer drinking modernist, Hazy Little Session does exactly what it says on the clip. An extra pale opaque beer with a light spritz awakens the punch of fresh crop Strata and Idaho7 to the senses.



Double addtions from late 80c whirlpooling and also a 20kg of Strata & Idaho7 in the tank post fermentation make sure you get that double hit of Passion Fruit, Strawberry and Mango, Pine & Grapefruit take on both the nose and in front of a soft bitterness.

Two of our favourite hops, Amarillo & Citra do the talking here. A stripped back pale malt base gives the stage to these two giants of the hop world. Updated for 2023 with an addition of Citra Cryo right at the end of fermentation for an extra bright Citra zing.

Designed for easy drinking and good times, so good we named it after the breweries cobbled street that's been our home for the last 10 years.

The Legend Returns - Limited Run Of 100

In what is now a Blackjack family tradition we welcome every Christmas the return of an export-grade Stroopwafel Pastry Stout. This delight has been festooning the Xmas shelves every year for the last 5 years! And originates back to a collaboration with Brouwerij Kees back in 2018.

Don't know what a stroopwafel is? Well, its caramel sandwiched between two sugar wafers that you gently warm on top of your morning coffee for a sticky treat and an extra bit of perk to get the day going.

Darkwoods and our Headbrewer Kieran have chosen a single origin bean and Columbian grower, El Placer in Calarca Quindio. The Pink Bourbon coffee in question is hallowed for its buttery, chocolate sweetness and savoury tones, however thanks to the expert skills of Sebastian Ramirez of El Placer this is taken to another level as the beans are allowed to naturally macerate in the cherry and inoculated with lactic acid bringing out much deeper and complex savoury flavours from this already special process.

A Northern Take on the early Porter.

We've all heard of the famed London Porters, those Pre-Victorian numbers that commanded the brewing landscape before the ascendency and dominance of the Pale Ale in the early 1900s

Well, it's a style that we still love and we wanted to create our own version - with our own Northern nod. Ours harks back to the early-life Porter, where Brown Malt plays protagonist, producing a subtly lower colour aspect than the near black Porters that we find most often today. Still rich and dark with a touch of mahogany glinting through from a modest use of Black Malts - a deep and creamy beer remains with chocolate notes, a little berry and the OG Boddingtons yeast adds that touch more Northern hedgerow fruit.

Alongside this we take the Northern Brewers hop - originally grown up our neck of the woods - offering up a little grassy-pine and a good affirming bitterness.

A Perfect beer to take to the fireplace when the weather starts to do its worst. Cue weather…

Right at the top of the style pile you'll find the ESB. The 'E' standing for 'Extra' Special Bitter. So for the 3rd year running here is ours. The annual ode to the pub, to open fires, dimpled pots, dogs in pubs and sheltering from the elements in your local inn. It's a premium bitter based on our signature Pub Ale: Best. Upgraded with a hit of extra coloured malt, a deeper bittering and the finishing garnish of a dry hop addition to ensure its ‘extra’ credentials.

A winter warmer, a cuddle in a cask for the darker, colder nights.

We've used a combination of First Gold, Goldings and EKG hops to bring notes of marmalade, hedgerows and pith balanced out against a sweeter malt bill. Pub Ale for the Autumn and Winter.

A continuation of Blackjack's fascination with the classic beer styles of the UK pub, Brown Ale sees our stock hop Bramling Cross nestle in a nutty and sweet malty body.

A style born of the Victorian industrial revolution its place on the bar has mainly been lost to history thanks to the dominance of the Best Bitters and London Porters that came to dominate the brown adjacent beers of the UK. Resurrected in parts of the UK you'll find regional enclaves of dedicated followers.

Manns Brown Ale is often seen as the archetype and was first made in the early 1900's as a divergence away from the IPA's and Stouts already dominating the taps and stores of London. We've brought this attitude up to date with a more modern ABV but keeping that original design of a nutty, sweet brown ale to act as a point of difference in a world still dominated by the IPA.

This is the beer that most of us at the brewery cut out teethto during ‘craft beers’ big rise over a decade ago & we all remember that first time fruity,
citrus hit & - what at the time seemed - huge resin punch and bracing clash of bitterness.

Overall we owe a lot to that beer and wanted to create our own here. In the UK however,
we’re all about the cask and that’s where ours lands. This is all about balance & clarity!

Concilio Et Labore: The motto of Manchester, loosely translated is Wisdom & Effort.

A big chewy British IPA, brewed to modern standards. Crystal 100, 150 & 400 bring a chewy marmalade and dark sugar base with a chestnut colour. We've hit it hard by Admiral in bittering and trio of First Gold, Goldings and Pioneer late hop additions finish the job on a big and bold IPA.

DDH isn't just for East Coast and NEIPA, we've dropped a huge 25kg of old school bangers in fermenter. First Gold, Goldings and Jester for a full aroma of Kentish fields and hedgerow berry delights.

A refreshing wheat beer backbone provides the rhythm section for the star of the show, the humble raspberry! Rightfully taking their place, full on centre stage here. Using Wit Yeast at low temperatures to keep the yeast character in check, we then added copious amounts of raspberry puree to give a pronounced raspberry aroma and flavour.
This beer is perfect for sipping in the sunshine...
The beer is here, now we just have to wait for the sun to come.

Each quarter we let one of the brewing team go wild on any beer they want. This time its Sams turn.

Sam has poured all his love of the beer scene of the West Coast of the USA into a red IPA full of flavour, history and passion. C hops do the hop talking with Cascade, Centennial, Chinook & Crystal offering up their pithy fruit, pine and oaky tones. A beer of this style needs its bitter bite and Sams gone for a bittering using Cascade which provides a fantastically complex rounded ball of bitterness on the first taste flowing into the aroma and flavour of Cascade's cousin hops added later in the boil and dry hop. Spicy, malty but with notes of punchy lime and strawberry.

The west coast IPA and pales that kick started the international craft beer movement took their inspiration from the old school late Victorian and new century beers of the UK and you can unpack some of that lineage in the malt base, a red ESB blasted into modernity with complex and loud flavours. ­When the fine people of Beermoth Cafe asked us for a collaboration we were pleased as punch! The Cafe is a regular hang out spot for the brewers and team at the brewery, we enjoy their focus on local brewers, blending super fresh beers on trend whilst not forgetting the local brewers quietly pumping out less flashy styles.

With that ethos in mind Beermoth are commisioning a series of ‘Drinking Beer’s. Simple styles all on cask that are quite simply for drinking. The team at Beermoth were keen for an amber ale, something with a bit of colour but just before that roast flavour takes over from the darker malts.

For colour its extra pale with a dash of Rye and our favourite RedX Malt. For hops? To add some of that orange note to go along with the copper hue we've used Nectaron, a first time for us, but it wont be the last. Complimented with El Dorado & Amarillo with a sneaky hit of Citra.

We are pleased as punch with this one. Get it while it lasts other wise the team at Beermoth will be selling it all! Read Less
