After turbulent weeks we are very happy to release a new series. DIGITAL COLLAB consists of 5 different beers that we have created with craft beer brewer friends from all over Europe. Why digital? Actually, collabs between 2 breweries go like this: You get to know each other at a craft beer event, you're on the same wavelength, you drink 1, 2, 10 beers together and then you get the idea to brew one together. Corona wasn't really up for it, but we were...

The first DIGITAL COLLAB beer is a very special one for several reasons. We put our heads together digitally with Georg and Lukaz from FUERST WIACEK, who have collaborated with pretty much every famous international brewery so far, but have yet to collaborate with one from back home. For a few weeks we exchanged experiences via email and phone, philosophised about brewing techniques and, of course, concocted a brilliant hop combination. The result is a double dry-hopped Double IPA with Citra, Vic Secret and Strata. Super fruity, resinous, creamy, 8.1% alcohol.

The unique artwork is also special. Georg's four-year-old daughter Mona was so kind and easily provided a graphic for the label.
Fittingly, we named the Double IPA CO-SHARENTING - a word creation from Co-Parenting and Sharenting, which has never been done before. #duden #artwords

We used an insanely large amount of hops again, but switched the hopbill. The 2nd Wave Edition of TEST | TRACE | ISOLATE is packed with tons of Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo, Citra and our favourite 2020 variety Talus aka HBC 692 from Yakima Chief Hops

Mixed fermentation with 3 different yeast strains plus oats plus wheat in the malt bill and a well hidden Abv of 9.6%...

A few weeks ago, the guys from FOLKINGEBREW visited us for a double collab with @blech.brut in #Bamberg and not only drank some #smokebeer, but also developed a nice recipe with us. UITBUIKEN is a very intense NEW ENGLAND IPA, where we used 4 different hops: A lot of Simcoe Cryo, some Citra, Amarillo and a big load of a rare variety called PACIFIC SUNRISE. It was released by the New Zealand Hort Research program in 2000, parentage includes Late Cluster, Fuggle, a European male and a NZ male. Aroma is super nice: Lemon and clementine citrus take the wheel and drive this hop forward with tropical hits of melon and mango riding shotgun. Stone fruit and jammy sweetness support the initial front line aromatics alongside pleasant floral notes that help round out the overall profile. Read Less

Boldly dryhopped with Idaho 7, Citra and Galaxy, we have created a nice summer beer to match the heat wave in Europe. Despite the 7.4% alcohol, the New England Double IPA is extremely drinkable and delights with an intense passion fruit, mango and melon aroma. By the way, at NAKED SHORTS we tried a new yeast blend that sets the standard in terms of haze and fruitiness. And we have optimized our water profile a little and are pleased that we could increase again in terms of creaminess and silkiness. We are looking forward to your feedback to see if you are as impressed as we are.

We brewed this NEIPA for our friends @ Mon Petit Café Stuttgart. It's a classic NEIPA dry-hopped with Citra and Mosaic and comes in super hazy at 6.9% alcohol. The name "Zeus Thunder" as well as the artwork and text on the can were created by an artificial intelligence. We asked the AI the following question: "What would you recommend to a beer-loving Greek who wants to open a craft beer café in Stuttgart?" The result is really amazing, check out the back of the can :). For the artwork, we asked the AI Midjourney to create an image of "a very white Greek on the beach in the 80s."
