At this point Schilling has all the momentum for me. Tons of great lagers. And like 5-6 great dark lagers I have had in the last year plus. Who else produces such a great portfolio of these types of brews? Notch comes to mind as well.

CJ: Totally agree. This batch honestly kinda hitting better than the batch of Focal I got the same day. Just a great balanced flavor profile and some nice malts too.

CJ is drinking a XVII Seventeenth Anniversary Barley Wine by Uinta Brewing Company at Watertown Square

Decade old Barleywine. Smells like prunes. Tastes like prunes and somewhat metallic. Still some nice toasty, caramel and even hop bitterness. Dusty bitter cocoa nibs come to mind. OK but dusty and musty.

Drie Font. collab. Wonderful Brett in the aroma with spicy phenoics and yeast spice, like a bold Brett saison. The flavor gets a bit too dry and spicy and it feels like a clash between the Brett, lambic funk and the intensely spicy and dry yeast.
