Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Brown Ale by Nua Brygghus at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Nutty aroma. Very good malt flavor combined with light coffee and nuts. It’s sadly a little to over-carbonated, and don’t suit this brew well. A fuller body and lesser carbonation would be preferred.

Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Cuvée de Noël by Brasserie St-Feuillien at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Roasted barley, dark malt, spices and herbs in aroma and flavor. It’s a lot of flavor indeed, but a little to overwhelming for me. A little over-carbonated for me aswell. I get a Christmas feel, absolutely! But just not for me. 🎄
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Dark Winter by Skudenes Bryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Consistent of a thin milky stout. Coffee aroma, likewise in flavor but with a malt syrup sweetness. Flavor sits short in palate. It’s flat, and that would work great with a thicker body, but it’s just to watery. It’s ok, but so many better out there.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Gneten Julenisse by Brulandselva at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A tasty wheat beer with malty undertone. Instant wheat and yeast on the nose. The wheat is dominant in flavor with a malt touch and a tickle of cherry at end. On the edge of being over-carbonated, but just within. Tasty but not a x-mas favorite.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Tannjul by Sagene Bryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A very broad stout malt flavor, with hints of chocolate and vanilla sweetness. Chocolate and malt on the nose, but very wide in flavor. Hangs awhile in palate and a light bitterness combined with sweetness is a great combo. Good color & carbonation.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Nissebokk by Ægir Bryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Roasted nuts and dark sweet syrupy malt on nose and in flavor. Lovely color, body and carbonation. A sweet syrupy body lies in palate after ending, and it feels good. Maybe some light spiced hops as backbone but without dominantion. Just great x-mas beer!
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking an Icelandic Winter Ale by Einstök Ölgerð at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Yet another treat from Icelandic Einstok. Lightly roasted malt and barely on the nose and in flavor. Great mild sourness at end, a lovely mixture of fruitiness and piney bitterness. Just wonderful. Good carbonation. Flavor sits a little in palate.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Pikyranes by 7 Fjell Bryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A rather thin bodied ale. Light nutty and coffee aroma. Flavors of malt, caramel, coffee and lightly raisin touch in the back. Good carbonation and flavor sits a little in palate. It’s good but a rather common flavor. Minus for the watery body.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Julebokk (2022) by Ringnes Bryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A strong Bock from Ringnes. Lovely dark color and very good carbonation. With its 9% it’s strength dominating all flavor, and I’d wished for more Christmas flavors within. Some wider malt flavor or coffee, nuts or prunes would be nice. Good body though.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a St. Niklas Juleøl by Kjerlingland Brygghus at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A beautiful and strong x-mas beer. Lovely color, carbonation, strength and flavor. A mild malt aroma but much wider in flavor. Dark malt syrup make this a really wonderful Christmas treat. No spices or gingerbread style, just dark flavorful malt in palate
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Jul i Sjøgato by Bådin at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A mild anis and malt aroma on the nose. Mid thick body. almost a little creamy and good carbonation. Malt flavored but with a nice licorice backbone in ending. Fades out a little to fast though.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Fjøsnissen by Central Bybryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A weird feeling tryin’ this out. At first a light spiced and malty aroma. Than a weird mix of spices, wood and a tobacco feel, so definitely not a favorite for me. Good carbonation, but an unpleasant woody flavor at end. Interesting, just not for me.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a 7 Sorter Christmas Ale (2021) by 7 Fjell Bryggeri at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Wow, this one gets your x-mas spirit goin’ Lovely round maltiness, mid body and a roasted touch. Caramel, nuts, bread and a very, very lightly spiced touch, make this a great one. Malty aroma. Very good carbonation. Yummy!
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Seså! Jule Saison Med Pors by Slakteren Brygghus at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A x-mas Saison is interesting. Especially with a touch of Myrica gale in there. Quite anonymous on the nose, but wider flavor of oaths, orange peel and a wildlife touch from the gale. Also strength. A little over carbonated but within. Love the print!
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Rød Jul (2022) by Nøgne Ø at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
A great red ale with good full body, without being heavy. Great malt flavor and splendid color. Taste Christmas without a lot of spices, yet it keep the holiday wibe. Flavor sits a while in palate. Great carbonation.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking an ISAAC by BIRRIFICIO AGRICOLO BALADIN - Baladin Indipendente Italian Farm Brewery at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
An extremely mellow wheat beer. A touch wheat, a sprinkle fruitiness, a pinch sweetness combined with good carbonation, and you have this brew. Not any dominating flavors just good balance overall. But again, not an explosive happening.
Tommy Jacksonville is drinking a Bangla by LWC Drinks at Vinmonopolet (Lillemarkens)
Nothing special. It’s tasty, easy drinking, good carbonation, very ordinary and works with everything. A mellow treat.
A good Velvety ipa. Very good body and great carbonation. Hoppy and light citrusy aroma. In flavor citrus spreads broadly with a nice hoppy ending. A different and fresh summer brew with some body to it. Great color!
