This beer seemed appropriate as I finish work prior to a long weekend getaway. That is a bitter beer. No tropical juice cocktails here, this is all about grapefruit citrus, pine, resin and bitterness. Bracing.

B M K is drinking a Double Chalkface Killah by Bright Tank Brewing Co at Thirsty Camel

I should start by saying that I'm not a big fan of the original Chalkface Killah, the hop combo doesn't work for me. The problem follows on to the double version. It seems a well made double hazy, but the hop combo isn't for me. Sickly sweet and bitter.

Dr Daniel: Always found that Bright Tank needing more finesse in their brews. Something not quite refined in what they brew…IMO

B M K: They have made a handful of really great beers (Uncle Brett Stout, Link Juice, the Fermentarium lambic styles) but unfortunately they are a bit few and far between for me.

Well made old school stout. Great balance of chocolate, roast and bitterness. I would have purchased more, but at $7 a can for a 4.7% stout (when I can get a BA Impi stout or 16% freeze distilled PL Stout for $10 a can) it is not competitively priced...
