Deeply bitter today. Not saying it'll blow your socks off but it's just deep! Rounded, smooth, so more-ish. More dry than usual too. There's a mineral quality à la Harvey's. I could drink this 'til the cows come home, as we sometimes say. Gorgeous.

First time at the MOK for over 2 months. Must be the first time in nearly 15 years since I last left it that long! Lovely meal as usual. Beer in good nick without being as good as it can be. Very clean for a predominantly malty pale ale. Bitter, dry.

Now I KNOW some Untappd check-ins go missing 'cos I KNOW I checked this in on Friday morning as an LCI. How does that happen? Rather spoils Untappd's reliance on stats if they CAN'T be relied on. Anyway. Fantastic beer when in good condition. This is.

Very LCI from yesterday afternoon with Stevie at the MOK. New beer in there. Fairly local Sussex bitter from a place called Blackboys. Very un-PC these days but the locals are adamant that the name stays. After all, it's had the name for centuries. Gr8 🍺

Swapped the dodgy Scaramanga for this. Much better although a notch or two down on Thursdays samples. The sweetness that was present on Thursday has mostly dissipated but some of the depth of flavour has done so too. Still very enjoyable. Lovely meal too.

Mrs T peruses the menu whilst I take a photo of a beer that was very quickly returned to the bar. Twice in 2 days! This was clearly not right despite Neil's assertion that it was fresh on. I'm guessing air had been leaking into the cask for some days.

Sweeter than last Thursday's but still a very fine pint. Very drinkable. My first pint went down very quickly despite me doing some paperwork too. Just booked a table for Sarah and I for dinner on Saturday. Looking forward to it. The food here is great!

Oh! How I've missed this. Don't get me wrong, I've had some outstanding beers in the past few weeks. I've even had a few great cask ales but NO ONE does cask ales like the Brits. Drinkability is through the roof! Dry, hoppy, bitter, malty, marvellous.

Great pint of this sometimes good, sometimes not, Kentish pale. Hoppier than usual, fruitier than usual. Some light tropical notes which are unusual in this beer, in my experience. Most enjoyable. LCI from 6pm this afternoon.

A pint of something cold and fizzy on one of the hottest days of the year. If I'm gonna have a Euro-lager this is my go-to. Malty, warm, hops enough to impart a mild but satisfying bitterness. Enjoyable and refreshing. Great company too. 👍 LCI from 5pm.

LCI from yesterday afternoon. Best pint (or three) of this I've ever had. Not up to the heights of the best Coppernob but still an excellent Kentish cask ale. Malty, slightly hoppy, bitter, dry. Terrific. Terrific company too.

I thought it was well past the time of year for an outdoors photo at the MOK. Finally we have some good weather, for a day or two anyway. Really good pint of Easy Street. Not up to the heights of a tip-top Coppernob but very fine indeed. Delicious!

A pint of something cold and fizzy on a hot day. What could be better? Well, we won't go in to that just now. Still, if I'm gonna have a Euro-lager this is my go-to. Malty, warm, hops enough to impart a mild but satisfying bitterness. Enjoyable.
