Shocked to find this beer outside of Ireland! On nitro too! One of my favorites from my study abroad days. Malt forward, a bit roasty. Super smooth & creamy. Slightly yeasty. Same subtle off flavor I’ve only ever had in this beer & Guinness. Medium body.

Kevin Doherty: Funny enough, I remember it being darker, but it’s been 10+ years so memory gets hazy. I just remember it being uncommon even in Ireland, but so good that I’d get it every time I saw it! This drinks lighter than I remembered, but still a fantastic beer

Great beer! Hoppy for an amber, but it works fantastically. Caramel malty notes balance mild hop bitterness, while keeping the body lighter so it isn’t overpowering. Possibly some slight yeasty notes in the finish. Pairs great with the fish & chips!
