Blackout beer in a (fleeting?) moment of connectivity. Nice traditional California style West Coast with 3 of the C’s. My guess - Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial. Malty dry caramel, long-suffering pine bitterness. Kind gift from Richard and Gemma.

Quite thick in texture, there’s a ton of fruit. Blueberry but tastes like tart berries also. Kind of red winey, yoghurt, a bit of zip.Drier than sweeter.

Deeds! This is a good traditional slash old school WCIPA. Simcoe AND Centennial. I had to look up HBC-522. Similar to the above apparently. Bright amber, lingering head. Aggressively bitter, pine, menthol, bitter citrus, cranberry, passionfruit. Nice.

Inexpensive but excellent 10% Imperial Baltic Porter. Bitter dark chocolate with a little dandelion like bitterness. Meaty red wine lees, leather, chestnuts, coffee. Wonderful texture. Room temp, about 20 degrees Celsius. Sweetness 4.5/10.

Series 2. Way over on the funky farmhouse end of the spectrum. Stone fruit including apricots, mouldy lemons, and a little cider vinegar. A lot of flavour, quite dry, creamy with low carbonation. Didn’t find any cucumber.

Lager for the locals, or perhaps most people driving the Murray Valley Hwy. Underrated imo. Dry, crackers, mild bitterness.

Sweet tropical smelling, then dry stone fruit and pithy bitterness. Simple but I’d be happy to find it on tap. Also, relieved it didn’t taste like sultanas.

Oh yeah. I thought this series was done but here’s at least one more. Another big triple and better than the last I reckon. Very tropical breakfast juicy, mango and passionfruit. Nice boozy warmth.

Nice pithy citrus 🍊 hazy. Pretty beer with a nice creamy lingering lace (wheat malts I assume). Plenty of bitterness, nice body.

Tart but the plum-ish-ness is a background flavour. Happily mostly Oude Lambic in character. Funky and layered but a bit more sour. Lovely beer. Took a while to read through the notes (of the base beer) to work out what’s happening here. Good info.

Sold a heap of these this wknd. Extraordinary number when you consider the not insignificant price. One Drop does VG (non-barrel aged) fruited sour beers. Mainly cause they go BIG on the fruit. Excellent beer! Lips tingling from the passionfruit.
